Eastfield College Department of Theater presents "Blithe Spirit." Directed by Dusty Reasons, "Blithe Spirit" is a comic play by Noel Coward set in the 1940s.
From www.samuelfrench.com-- The smash comedy hit of the London and Broadway stages, this much-revived classic from the playwright of Private Lives offers up fussy, cantankerous novelist Charles Condomine, re-married but haunted (literally) by the ghost of his late first wife, the clever and insistent Elvira who is called up by a visiting "happy medium," one Madame Arcati. As the (worldly and un-) personalities clash, Charles' current wife Ruth is accidentally killed, "passes over," joins Elvira and the two "blithe spirits" haunt the hapless Charles into perpetuity.
The cast is comprised of Eastfield students with costume design by Dusty Reasons and scene design by Mark Guerra.
*Wednesday night’s show-- tickets will be by donation, which will go toward Eastfield theater scholarships.
Ticket Prices: Adults $5; students and children up to the age of 12, $3; children under 12, free
