| TAKE IT IN THE CLASSROOM
SPAN 1300, SPAN 1411, SPAN 1412, SPAN 2311
and SPAN 2312 are offered in the classroom. The students
are able to enjoy the benefits of interacting with their professor
and classmates. Spanish classes, like most language classes, are
focused on communication. The professor lectures and emphasizes
the activities to help the student learn the vocabulary and grammar.
More importantly the students start using Spanish from the first
day in class!
Here at Eastfield, we include the lab hours in class. However, the
students still have to do their homework. Homework includes listening
to activities, studying the vocabulary and doing the exercises in
the workbook. |
TAKE IT AS A TELECOURSE
Telecourses are ideal for students who cannot
come to class often. SPAN 1411 TV (First year, First semester)
and SPAN 1412 TV (First year, Second semester) are beginning
level classes that use the video series Destinos and the Destinos
textbook and workbooks. The students watch two episodes of Destinos
each week. They complete worksheets and self-tests related to the
episodes every week. There are four written tests that the students
need take at the Testing Center at EFC and four oral assignments
the students need to complete on voicemail.
In SPAN 1412 TV (First year, Second semester),
students use the video series Destinos and the Destinos textbook
and workbooks. The students watch two episodes of Destinos each
week. They complete worksheets and self-tests related to the episodes
every week. There are four written tests that the students need
take at the Testing Center at EFC and four oral assignments the
students need to complete on voicemail. In addition, students must
also complete two reading and two writing assignments. |
