Can't Register Online? Find Out Why

Admissions Office

Eastfield College has an open door admissions policy.  It insures that all persons who can profit from post-secondary education have an opportunity to enroll.  The college requires certain assessment procedures for use in course placement.  Assessment is not used to determine admissions except for students concurrently enrolled in high schools.

Documentary evidence of Texas residency must be provided by all applicants claiming Texas residence and requesting resident tuition classification.  The evidence must be submitted with the application of admission and must prove twelve (12) months of Texas residence immediately prior to the semester of enrollment.  Failure to provide evidence will result in an applicant being classified as a non-resident for tuition purposes.  Contact the Admissions Office for specific information detailing required residency documentation.

Applications may be submitted any time prior to registration.  Check out our on-line application.  Submitting admissions documents early insures that there is adequate time for effective advisement and schedule planning.  A later place in registration often means that the classes a student desires may already be filled.

The Assessment Center (Testing Center) provides comprehensive testing services.  If you are a new-to-college student and you have not met the testing requirements to register, you must take the ACCUPLACER Test or the THEA Test.

The Academic Advisors within the Advisement Center are available to discuss students’ skills, abilities, degree plans, educational background, life experiences and motivation to help them make selections from the educational options available.  You may drop-in at any time to obtain a referral form for assessment tests, career placement information and learning assistance. If English is not your first language, and you need ESOL or ESL classes, you may request advisement services at the English Language Learning Advisement Center.
