Academic Advisors at Eastfield College serve students that are interested in enrolling or are currently enrolled in credit courses. Advisors have an understanding of student’s needs, such as goal setting and problem solving. Advisors are available to see students by appointment of anytime between the hours below. Identifying a Student
A New student is a student who has never attended classes in the Dallas County Community College District (DCCCD).
A Re-Admit student is a student who has not attended classes for more than one year in the DCCCD.
A Continuing student is a student who has attended class in the current academic year. Students may visit 2012-2013 Student Handbook for stay in the know about services, programs, and campus contacts.
A Transfer Student is someone who attended another institution, and plans to attend the DCCCD for more than one semester.
A Transient Student is a type of transfer student that completes classes for one semester at a DCCCD college then returns to his/her primary institution.
Before visiting with your Advisor make sure to:
Students with an academic standing of Suspension or Dismissal must adhere to the district Probationary Policy and submit a Petition of Reinstatement by a specific deadline. See the Advising Office for details.
Students on probation, suspension or academic dismissal from another institution shall adhere to the same academic standards of the College District.
Registration Deadline Dates for ALL Probation Level Students:
May Term 2014– Friday, May 09, 2014 at 5pm (classes begin May 16th. 2014)
Summer I 2014 – Friday, May 30, 2014 at 5pm (classes begin June 4th, 2014)
Summer II 2014 – Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 6pm (classes begin July 9th, 2014)
Fall 2014 – Saturday, August 16, 2014 (classes begin August 25th, 2014)
Fall 2014 Flex-Term – Friday, September 19, 2014 at 5pm
Petition for Readmission Deadline Dates for ALL Probation Level Students:
May Term 2014 – Friday, May 2, 2014
Summer I 2014 – Friday, May 23, 2014
Summer II 2014 – Friday, June 27, 2014
Fall 2014 – Saturday, August 16, 2014 (for courses beginning August 25, 2014)
Fall 2014 Flex-Term –Friday, September 12, 2014 at 5pm
NOTE: Petition deadlines apply for all classes offered during Summer/Fall terms. Any petition received after the petition deadline will be considered for Flex term courses that begin after regular terms.
