Players Sign and Moving On! |
(Aug
2007) Terrance McCollister became
the fourth Eastfield Harvester to sign a Letter of Intent
to play basketball at Mid-American Christian University of
the Sooner conference in Oklahoma. MACU is located in Oklahoma
City, Oklahoma. Terrance finished the past season as the third
leading scorer on the team and also, won awards for Academic
player of the year, and Harvester award as well as third team
all conference honors in the Metro Athletic Conference.
Also, former player Justin Arrington will
be joining Prairie View A&M basketball team for the upcoming
2007-2008 season and Phillip Payton will
be transferring to Univ. of Texas at Arlington to study Business
and computer technology. |

Sign On The Dotted Line |
(2007) Greg Boxell and Greg Morgan became the third Harvesters
to sign to a four year scholarship this year. Greg
Boxell signed with Lynn University in Boca Raton,
Florida. Greg Morgan a Freshman signed with
Cameron University in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Earlier this year at the Christmas break Chris Cooper signed and transferred to Nicholls State University in Thibodaux,
Louisiana. Additional signing information will be published
once the other student athletes sign on the dotted line.
Coach Fletcher stated " I am very happy for these young
men. All three of these young men have made themselves marketable
and recruitable. These young men have a bright future ahead
of them on and off the court." |

Five Sign to Play at Four Year Level |
Captain Lionel Booker graduated this spring from Eastfield College and has signed a scholarships to play basketball at Lincoln University in Missouri. Lionel is expected to contribute right away for the Blue Tigers. Forward Marvin Richardson has also signed to play in Missouri at Missouri Western State University in the always brutal MIAA conference. 1st Team All Region selection Ryan Boyd has signed to play at Wiley College were they are looking for big things from the skilled wing. Richard Jones has also signed to play with McMurry University in West Texas. Team leading scorer and MVP Kendrake Johnigan signed with Cameron University from the powerful Lonestar conference but decided to come back to Eastfield after a coaching change took place at Cameron University. |

polls have put Eastfield back in the top ten.
Eastfield sits in first place (M.A.C.) with three
games left before the M.A.C. tourney, which begins
Wed, Feb 27. Eastfield is 20-6 (.770) on the season
and 7-2 (.778) in the conference.

COLORADO SPRINGS,
Colo. (Nov. 20, 2007) - The
No. 1 ranking in first NJCAA Men's Division III
basketball poll of the 2007-08 season belongs to Eastfield
College of Mesquite, Texas. The Harvesters have an
8-1 overall record in the early stages of the season
and received 66 total votes and three first place
votes. Eastfield College was ranked 20th in the pre-season
rankings. |
