National Science Foundation Announces Eastfield Scholars

(Mesquite, TX) – The National Science Foundation STEP (Science Talent Expansion Program) at Eastfield College is proud to announce their 2008 scholars.

Nathaniel E. Dulin from Allen is a freshman; Daniel Stanley from Garland is a sophomore; Michael Yoakum from Sunnyvale is a freshman; James A. Mueck from Cedar Hill is a freshman; James Foster from Caddo Mills is a sophomore; Norma Sanchez from Dallas is a sophomore; An Die Lu from Dallas is a freshman; Amanda Collins from Mesquite is a sophomore; Sara M. Linehan from Rowlett is a freshman; Pearl Gutierrez from Dallas is a sophomore; William Grant from Dallas is a sophomore; Jacqueline Flinn from Rowlett is a freshman; Jessica Agwumaro from Balch Springs is a sophomore; Prawal KC from Mesquite is a freshman; and Shibin Varghese from Mesquite is a sophomore.

In order to qualify for our National Science Foundation Scholarship Programs at Eastfield College a student needs to be working on an eligible degree program, be an Eastfield full time student and have a required GPA.

The selection of the scholars is based on the students’ personal statement, faculty letters of recommendation, grade point average and official transcripts information.
