MICROSOFT CERTIFIED SYSTEMS ENGINEER

MICROSOFT AUTHORIZED ACADEMIC TRAINING PROGRAM

The Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) program prepares you to effectively plan, implement, support and maintain information systems with Microsoft Windows 2000. MCSE candidates in the Windows 2000 track are required to pass five core exams and two elective exams that provide a valid and reliable measure of technical proficiency and expertise in solution design and implementation.

WINDOWS 2000 TRACK

Eastfield offers the following courses in preparation for the certified exams.

Core Courses: Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional (32 hours)
  Microsoft Windows 2000 Server (32 hours)
  Implementing Microsoft Windows 2000 Network Infrastructure (48 hours)
  Implementing and Administering Microsoft Windows 2000 Directory Services (48 hours)

Select one additional core course:

Electives: (two required)

*Core exams that can also be used as elective exams may only be counted once toward a certification.

MCSE Instructors:

Thomas W. Shinder, MD is a neurologist and 10 year computing industry veteran who's worked as a trainer, writer and a consultant for Fortune 500 companies. Tom was a Series Editor of the Syngress/Osborne Series of Windows 2000 Certification Study Guides and author of the best selling book on ISA Server 2000 "Configuring ISA Server 2000: Building Firewalls with Windows 2000".

Debra Littlejohn Shinder is a MCSE and trainer who teaches, writes, and consults in the Dallas-Ft. Worth, Texas, area. She has been an instructor in the Dallas County Community College District since 1992 She is the webmaster for the cities of Seagoville and Sunnyvale, Texas.

Not all courses are offered every semester.
