Coach Michael Martin is very reliable and dependable. He goes above and beyond in the position of baseball coach at Eastfield College. He spends many extra hours in recruiting, travel, games, and baseball field maintenance. Michael finds time to help people out. He definitely exceeds his job description and coaching duties.

Michael is very creative and innovative and this is the reason why he has won two national championships for Eastfield College in baseball. He is a work horse that gets the job done. Michael has laid the foundation of being inducted into the NJCAA National Hall of Fame one day. With more years in the NJCAA he will have a chance to be inducted because he is a great teacher, coach and really cares about his student athletes.

Michael makes sure that he completes all of his hours for professional development and has extra hours every year.

Gloria is always available to assist others whenever needed.  She always has a smile on her face and in her voice. She will follow through until your question is answered.  She will tackle any task whole heartedly.

Gloria continues to make a positive impact on students on her own time helping them with questions and walking through steps to help them. She works nights and weekends throughout the year helping when needed, especially during registration.

Gloria went above and beyond in assisting a terminally ill young woman reach her goal of being registered as a student at EFC.  After numerous attempts to register from the hospital Gloria answered a call from her father requesting help.  Gloria met this young woman and her father on her own time at the hospital and walked them through the registration process.  Gloria was innovative and creative in her pro-active approach in assisting. Hannah's dream was fulfilled.

Anthony is the quintessential athletic director and basketball coach. He goes above and beyond spending many additional hours providing every opportunity to the success of our players and their future. Anthony insures our athletic students are provided tutoring and extra assistance with academics and career counseling if needed. He is a family man with top spiritual values that he instills in his players. His teams continue to rank on the top teams in America for community colleges. He is a coach that sets the bar high and insures all rules are followed.

Anthony is diligent in recording and tracking player activities so it can be submitted to other colleges for the benefit of the student. Eastfield College and our students greatly benefit from this great coach.

It has been stated by parents, coaches and players from all over Texas that Anthony is one of the best of the best at what he does.

Ruth has been instrumental in reviewing and making improvements to the room request process for EFC. She is positive, helpful, and a team player. Ruth effectively implements processes, holds herself accountable and ensures that others follow processes without being negative.

Ruth has always attended to her duties without complaint. She works diligently to complete all her tasks and does so with a sense of urgency.

Ruth effectively seeks solutions that will best serve students and faculty. For example, additional classrooms were needed for instruction during the summer semester and she worked collaboratively and quickly with all vested work groups to seek a solution.

Ruth has attended additional training in order to effectively deploy her job as room coordinator.

• The Principal Investigator (PI) for the National Science Foundation STEP grant; has over thirty years experience in overseeing undergraduate research experience programs at the community college level.
• In addition to building relationships with high schools, universities, industry, and nonprofits, Dr. Knight has also coached new faculty in learning how to incorporate more discovery based learning into the sciences. He directs the Big Thicket Summer Research Institute which has changed the lives of a talented and diverse pool of students.
•  A lover of nature, who has not only introduced students to the wonders of environmental field study, he is active in conservation efforts in Texas and a national level.
• His former students include many doctors, nurses and other extraordinary professionals.
• He is often found on the weekend composing recommendation letters for star students seeking admission to medical or pharmacy school. His co-workers wonder how he does it all...works long hours, serves on multiple boards, directs a nationally recognized grant, makes numerous weekend field trips and still manages to show all students he genuinely cares.
• A loyal, dedicated professional, he represents a stellar role model for students and staff alike.  I have never worked with anyone more dedicated to student success.  Student oriented.  Passionate.  Dedicated.  Concerned about student success.  Never says anything bad about anyone.  More patience than anyone I know. Very student oriented.  I have seen him in the cafeteria with a table full of students.  He always has time for students.
• Dr. Knight goes beyond just teaching.  He guides students.  He challenges us to be great.  He truly is one of the best.
• Dr. Knight has been an incredible inspiration to me and my education in science in the short time I have known him, and I could never thank him enough for all of the motivation and encouragement he continues to give.

• Janet has been the CE/WF representative to District Colleague and possesses hands on knowledge that is extremely helpful to all in CE/WF.
• Janet works with Senior Citizens.  She creates, develops and manages Seniorfest each year. She has always promoted CE/Workforce both on and off campus.
• Janet created and developed the Life Long Learning Institute for seniors and helped the seniors find sponsors. (Seniorfest is a very popular activity and applicants are turned away as maximum space is always exceeded). 
• Janet works within the PSS activities and serves as an officer.

• Jack always responds immediately to every request, concern and technical problem in the area of instructional computer IT.  He considers everything to be his job and will tackle any task whole-heartedly.  I believe he is a team player and fosters team spirit among his staff.  I have been counting on Jack and his able staff for more than a decade and know that our classroom labs would be a disaster without him.
• I believe that Jack goes above and beyond the expectations of his job on a daily basis, on campus, in the District and in the community.  He is supportive of all faculty and staff equally.
• I have witnessed many instances of the creative abilities and problem solving of this employee, in helping students succeed, in enhancing classroom technology, in finding funding for much-needed classroom equipment and helping faculty prepare proposals for their division capital equipment requests, the list goes on and on.  He is imaginative. 
• He has earned numerous certificates in extra training and professional development.
• Jack is a very dedicated Eastfielder who will take on any task and do it to the best of his ability. He collaborates well with all who work with him and is enthusiastic about Eastfield and his work. He is highly skilled and resourceful in problem solving. • Courtney is reliable and dependable.  She is very available to the students. Last year when a person was needed to be a conversation partner for some ESOL students, she took this on personally.
• Courtney goes above and beyond in performing her duties and taking on new responsibilities.  Although she is relatively new on campus, she has been involved with the CORE curriculum revisions on a district level, is our VOE Champion, and has served on the Faculty Association.
• Courtney is creative and innovative. She has taken on the ESOL Conversation Partners project as a service learning activity for her students.
• Courtney believes in her own and others' professional development. She has completed VOE and E-partners for new employees and now champions for the former and leads the latter.

Reliable & Dependable comments: Sandy Hampton meets all the above criteria in all of these areas always going above and beyond to help students and the staff she comes in contact.

She is the motivating force of what keeps myself and everyone she comes in contact with wanting to help others.

She consistently responds to student needs with integrity in a timely manner going above and beyond for others; whether it be a small treat or a listening ear.

She always performs at or above expectation with urgency. She does is out of compassion for the students and team she works with. She always has time for others.

She has never said: "It's not my job."  NEVER!!!!!!!!! In fact, she will do others jobs, without complaining because of who it impacts.

She always meets deadlines and is a Team Player.  During our busiest time, she always is the first one here and always has a smile on her face.  You know she will always help and never says she doesnÆt have time.

Above & Beyond comments: Sandy always finds time no matter how busy her work load to help others.  

She is always volunteering on behalf of Eastfield College on or off campus.
