Youth Speak Out - $75.00

The ability to effectively communicate is essential to success in both the personal and professional arenas. This is an introductory class meant to engage local high school students to develop public speaking skills and provide them with the tools they need to progress through high school to college and beyond. Students will leave this course with increased self-confidence and self-image, placing them ahead of their friends, peers, and future colleagues. If you can't communicate, you can't compete! This class makes sure students step into this world prepared, excited, and anxious to SPEAK OUT. The skills acquired during the class include, but are not limited to, the following: Proper structuring of a speech, improved presentation and daily speaking, vocal variety, presenting with visual aids, body language and movement, business/classroom presentations, how to fix verbal crutches and filler words, researching their topic, overcoming fear and managing nervousness, listening, and effective communication.
