PC Service & Support Technician Certificates

Service and Support Technicians perform system diagnostics, routine maintenance and repair. Responsibilities include installation of computer hardware and software components.

Eastfield College offers five courses that lead you into two certifications in the fast-growing PC Service and Desktop Support field.

It is an international, vendor-neutral certification recognized by major hardware and software vendors, distributors and resellers. CompTia A+ confirms a technician’s ability to perform tasks such as installation, configuration, diagnosing, preventive maintenance and basic networking.

The Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) credential proves that you have the skills to successfully support end-users and to troubleshoot desktop environments that are running the Microsoft Windows operating system.
