New Certificate program class. Spring: Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day – the sentiments of these special days and the freshness of spring are best expressed through flowers. Learn new and different approaches for spring arrangements, wrapping potted plants and Spring funeral work. Exotics: Create the graceful serenity and exquisite beauty of the Oriental influence in shape and form from the simplicity of vase to the sophistication of the floral arrangement. Students will learn to appreciate the centuries-old traditions of both Japan and China. European design using deep rich colors and textures will also be taught. Instructor will provide information weekly, in class, concerning the number of flowers and container needed. Students will need to purchase their own flowers and supplies. Fresh Floral Design - FMKT 1001 $150.00
FLORAL DESIGN
Certificate Program; Prepare for a career working in the floral industry or create professional masterpieces for your own enjoyment. Learn professional techniques in a hands-on class from a Florist. You will learn how to: identify flowers and design styles; use florist's tools and supplies; prepare containers; process and preserve fresh flowers and greenery; and prepare hand bouquets and corsages. If in season Holland flowers will be used in addition to other flowers. Students provide own weekly supplies or cost of supplies for each class is payable to instructor each week.

INTRODUCTION TO LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE
An introductory course related to the care of landscapes, including the selection, installation, and maintenance of plants.  Outcomes include maintaining landscapes; select and plant vegetation, and inspect for insect and disease control.

Adult Music

Adult Piano Class - MUAZ 1000 $95.00
This is a beginning group piano class designed to introduce adults to the fundamentals of note-reading at the keyboard.  Regular practice is expected.    The final class will consist of instruction on how to perform. Recital at end of course will be given in F117.  TEXTBOOK: Instructor will advise at the first class meeting where textbooks can be purchased.

Need a little individualized attention to learn to play guitar or to improve your guitar techniques? Sign up for eleven private half-hour guitar lessons. Pottery - ARTZ 1000 $99.00
This course will cover basic hand building techniques and an introduction to using the potter’s wheel. Basic glazing techniques for stoneware pottery will be covered. Individual instruction is emphasized. Supply list will be provided on the first class meeting.
