The Eastfield
College Computer Science, Engineering, & Mathematics Scholarship
(CSEMS) program is funded through the National
Science Foundation. It is designed to increase the number of academically
talented, financially needy students entering the high-technology
workforce following completion of degree programs in computer science,
computer technology, engineering, engineering technology, or mathematics.
What’s in it for you?
- Up to $6,000 in scholarship money over a two year period to
cover costs such as tuition, fees, books and supplies.
- Advising and assistance in completing a degree plan or transfer
to a four-year college or university.
- Special activities such as college and industry tours, workshops,
tutoring , and student services.

Are you eligible for CSEMS?
- A U.S. citizen or national, permanent resident, or in the U.S.
and can provide evidence of intent to become a permanent resident.
- High school graduates and current college students enrolled
at Eastfield full-time taking at least 12 credits.
- Those with demonstrated financial need.
- Those in an eligible A.S. or A.A.S. degree program at Eastfield
or intending to transfer to a four-year college in a CSEMS field
of study.
- Demonstrated academic potential and at the time of application
have a minimum 3.0 GPA for recent high school graduates, or a
2.5 for current college students.
- Those committed to complete their degree programs.
Want to apply for CSEMS?
- Complete the FAFSA (Free
Application for Federal Student Aid) either online or in the Financial
Aid Resource Center.
- Schedule a consultation with your Financial Aid
or CSEMS Advisor to ensure you can fulfill the requirements
of the program in a CSEMS eligible field.
- Complete the CSEMS application form and submit it to the Financial
Aid Office, a CSEMS Advisor, or in the box outside of room A207.
