The Mission of the Resource Development Office (RDO) is to increase external funds to Eastfield College by providing assistance to faculty, administrators and students in the areas of grants development, fundraising, and community partner cultivation. The RDO accomplishes its mission through the following services:
Grant Seeking: The RDO identifies external fund sources through research, relationship cultivation and fundraising.
Grant Development: The RDO coordinates planning meetings to discuss project ideas, assists with preliminary program and budget development, and analyzes proposals for consistency with Eastfield College’s priorities and strategic plan. Additionally, provides guidance for drafting proposal content and identifies shared goals and resources among collaborators.
Grant Writing: The RDO works with subject matter experts to clearly define goals, objectives and the methods of the proposed project. The RDO facilitates and leads the pre-award process which includes the interpretation of funding guidelines, proposal writing and submission of the final application.
Grant Management & Compliance: The RDO works in coordination with the Grants Financial Office to provide oversight for all funded projects in order to ensure that all obligations are fulfilled. Compliance focuses on adherence to terms and conditions of the award and overall compliance with federal circulars.
Grant Evaluation: The RDO proposes a process of program quality review that is appropriate to the project or activity that has been funded. All program reports required by the funding agency are reviewed and approved by the RDO before submission.
