Police Communication Center
The DCCCD has a fully functional 911 police communication center.
The communication center is located on the campus of Brookhaven
College and serves all seven of the campuses in the DCCCD: Brookhaven,
Cedar Valley, Eastfield, El Centro, Mountain View, Northlake, and
Richland. The DCCCD police communication center operates 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week and is currently staffed by 6 licensed 911
operators and one supervisor. The communication center plays a vital
role in the police department and is invaluable to the officer in
the field.
All calls for police service can be obtained by dialing the following:
When dialing from an on campus phone, dial 911.
When dialing from an outside phone (pay phones, cell phones, etc.):
Emergencies dial 911
Non-emergencies dial 972-860-4290
When calling for police service or an emergency, help the call taker
help you by following these guidelines:
Be prepared to state:
WHERE you are calling from.
WHAT is the nature of your call.
WHEN did the event actually occur.
WHO you are.
