The purpose of the Eastfield Student Government is to serve as student representatives on behalf of
the student body of Eastfield College. Student Government members participate in decision making processes of the college, and serve as student representatives on various DCCCD committees. Student Government representatives take an active role in campus leadership and work towards the mission of Eastfield College.
Term of Service
Representatives serve one complete academic year, from fall through the spring semesters. The current Student Government Constitution serves as the living document for term limits and membership qualifications.
Responsibilities of representatives
Each representative is expected to work as a leader and ambassador for Eastfield College. Responsibilities include:
Maintain active membership as described in the Student Government Constitution.
Serve as official ambassadors for the college when specific outside functions or off-campus events are scheduled.
Participate in decision-making processes as well as committees that require Student Government representation.
Maintain an e-mail address in order for open communication between members and students.
Student Government representatives will have mailboxes in the SPAR office.
The Director of Student Programs and Health Services will serve as the liaison for the Student Commissioners.
