The deadline to submit all requested documents for processing is below. The office will notify you of eligibility by the start of the semester. No exceptions. Students will be responsible for tuition, books and supplies after the deadline date, if no financial aid award has been posted to your eConnect account by your due date. Failure to pay will result in courses being dropped and re-enrollment of courses will be the responsibility of the student. Student will be reimbursed for any aid eligible, based on enrollment, once file has been processed

Federal Financial Aid Disbursement Notices:
Attendance Policy-Students must begin attendance in all classes of enrollment. Financial Aid will not be granted to students who have been certified as not attending. Review your class syllabi for attendance certification instructions, given by your instructor or contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.
Return of Title IV (ROF) Students who receive Federal Student aid, to include Pell grants and Stafford loans, withdraw from all courses or fail to complete at least 60% of all your courses attempted each semester, will be required to repay a portion of the disbursed federal aid. Award Notification & Disbursements
Visit econnect.dcccd.edu to see the status of your financial aid application. If no award is posted to meet your tuition due date, please pay your tuition and fees. When your financial aid application has been processed, you will be awarded any aid for which you are eligible. If tuition and fees are not paid by the date due, you will be dropped from classes.
Financial Aid disbursement methods have changed! Log onto econnect.dcccd.edu to set up a method of either the Chase debit card or direct deposit into your personal checking or savings account.
Federal Loans & College Work Study:
Federal Loans and the College Work Study Program require an additional application process each year. Visit our web site at www.efc.dcccd.edu, or call 972-860-8385, for further information and deadlines.
Need Tax Return Information or Transcripts?
Two easy methods:
Method One: Telephone, Call 1-800-829-1040: Choose the option for your personal account information. Follow the directions in the recording. You may speak with an IRS representative at this telephone number if you need help.
Method Two: Mail, Complete Form 4506: To request a copy or transcript of Tax Form: sign and mail it to the address in the form’s instructions. Call 1-800-TAX-FORM to order form 4506 by mail, or use a fax machine’s handset to dial IRS TaxFax at 1-703-368-9694 and have it faxed. Form 4506 is also on the IRS web site at www.irs.gov. Transcripts are mailed to your home address, free of charge. Allow two weeks for delivery.
IRS: If you need an exact photocopy of a previously filed and processed return, or actual copies of W-2, complete form 4506 (Request for copy or transcript of tax form.) There is a $40.00 fee for copies of your previously filed tax forms and attachments including form(s) w-2 for each tax period requested. Effective 01/01/2004. Allow 60 calendar days from the date IRS receives your request for delivery. |
