make satisfactory progress towards
completion of that objective

Eastfield's Certifying Official must be notified when:
student registers & pays for courses
students enrollment level increases or decreases**

Standards of Progress:
Acceptable scholastic performance is the maintenance of a grade point average of 2.0 or better. Students who earn less than 2.0 GPA will be placed on probation. The student must receive academic advisement to re-establish eligibility.

Guidelines for Veterans :

A veteran may be required to pay back portions of the benefits received, if
they drop a course.
A veteran may lose future benefits if the student withdraws from all courses attempted during a semester without a documented explanation.
In order to receive certification for developmental courses, the required
Assessment Test must demonstrate a need for remediation in specific subjects.
A veteran student may enroll solely in television/distance learning courses,
if the courses are included on the student's filed degree plan.  A veteran student must be enrolled in courses required by his/her
Educational Degree Plan.**

** If student is substituting a course on his/her degree plan, a copy of the substitution form must be given to Eastfield's Certifying Official.

The V.A. regulations are subject to change without notice. Questions concerning amounts of educational assistance that a veteran may be eligible for, should be referred to the Department of Veterans Affairs, Regional Office at: 1-888-442-4551.
