to Host Volleyfest |
Eastfield College hosted the 2007
Volleyfest Tournament on Friday, Aug 24 and Saturday,
Aug 25. Several schools participated in the event.
Congratulations to Gavelston College, winner of the 2007
Volleyfest Tournament.

Volleyball Tryouts - Saturday, March 31st |
Interested in playing volleyball
for Eastfield College? Tryouts will be held on Saturday,
March 31st in the P-Building gymnasium from 9:00am-12:00pm.
You must be enrolled as a full-time student in the Fall
2007 semester to be able to compete, and other academic
qualifications also apply. Please contact Coach Reggie
Cajayon in the Volleyball Office (P-203) for more
information.
The Lady Harvesters are looking for new blood to help
build upon last season's success, so come on out!!! |

Two
Sophomores Rank Among the Nation's Best |
(2006) Eastfield sophomores Beth
Buresh and Erin
Kirkpatrick, after recently being named
to the All-Region First Team, finish the regular season
ranked amongst the best in the country in multiple statistical
categories.
Buresh (5'7" | Setter | Hurst, TX) tallied 96 service
aces and 892 assists this season, which has her ranked
#23 in Aces/Game
and #17 in Assists/Game
nationally.
Kirkpatrick (5'10" | Outside Hitter | Athens, TX)
recorded 315 kills and 74 service aces, placing her #36
and #44 in the nation in Kills/Game
and Aces/Game,
respectively.
Congratulations to these two sophomores for being recognized
among the nation's elite!

2006
Season Ends On A Positive Note |
The Lady Harvesters' season came
to an end on Saturday afternoon after losing in three
sets to Richland College 30-26, 30-18, 30-24. The weekend
was not without some positive recognition, as four players
from Eastfield were recognized on the All-Conference.
Sophomores Erin Kirkpatrick
and Beth Buresh
received All-Region accolades for their efforts this season,
and freshman Emily Vanderburg
and Blanca Saavedra
earned Honorable Mention status.
Eastfield ends its season with an overall record of 10-21,
and 5-5 in Metro Athletic Conference play. Thanks to everyone
who supported the Lady Harvesters this season, and we
look forward to even more support and greater success
next year!

Snyder Texas.

earned All-Tournament honors
in this Western Texas Invitational Tournament.
