Rebecca Carter

Art Appreciation and 2D Design Professor Rebecca Carter currently teaches at TCU and Eastfield. Her work has been shown at 500X, Road Agent, Arthouse Austin, artsReligare; New Delhi, Cheongju Craft Biennale; Korea and the Reading Room; Dallas.

Adjunct Faculty Teaching and Learning Center

With service to students and the community as its mission, the Adjunct Faculty Teaching and Learning Center responds to the needs of a diverse teaching community by offering accessible technology, information, support services, and learning opportunities to adjunct faculty at Eastfield College. 

Your comments and suggestions on how to continuously improve the AFTLC services are welcome. 

The vision of the Adjunct Faculty Teaching and Learning Center is to provide adjunct faculty with the tools needed to provide students with the knowledge and materials to be successful in their academic and professional careers, as well as productive citizens in their communities.

Services include:

  • Mailboxes for adjunct faculty
  • Professional Development
  • Computer workstations
  • Technology assistance
  • Classroom supplies
  • Break area to relax in between classes
  • Copier, Scantron grading machine, printer, fax, and related supplies
  • Assistance in reserving a space in the Library for private consultation meetings with students

AFTLC and Evening Administrative staff is here for you. Some of our duties include:

  • Assist with final grade rolls submission
  • Collect papers/tests/assignments
  • Coordinate professional development
  • Distribute mail
  • Post cancelled classes notices
  • Process Contracts
  • Process GroupWise e-mail requests
  • Provide campus information/directions
  • Coordinate new adjunct faculty orientation
  • Provide information to adjuncts:
    • Class location
    • Campus logistics
    • Referral to resources
    • Provide computer support
    • Class roster
    • eConnect and eCampus referrals and assistance
  • Provide DCCCD forms and policies
  • Take phone messages for adjuncts
  • Assistance in reserving a space in the Library for private consultation meetings with students
