How do I apply for Financial Aid?
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is available online at www.fafsa.ed.gov. This is a government website and there is no charge to complete the application. Students should be wary of any "pay to apply" sites.

When applying for FAFSA what types of aid am I applying for?
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) aids students inapplying for grants, loans, College Work Study and some scholarships.

Step 3: Assessment

New to College Students

The Assessment Center of Eastfield College requires certain assessment procedures for use in course placement. Assessment is not used to determine admissions except for students concurrently enrolled in high schools. If you are a new-to-college student and you have not met the testing requirements as indicated on your high school transcript, you must take the TSI Assessment.

Your completed test score will assess your basic academic skills in reading, writing, math, and computer literacy. Based on your educational goals, an advisor will use the results of this test to help place you in the appropriate developmental, student success course, and/or college level courses.

Note: The TSI Assessment is available on a walk-in basis: Monday through Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Bring a photo ID and your referral form.
