| Art Appreciation is designed to introduce students
to the world of art. It equips them with a vocabulary with which to
discuss art, elevates their visual awareness, explores some of the
main "issues" in art and introduces selected historical/cultural
contexts.
Basic to the teaching of Arts 1301 is my personal/professional
belief that life is fuller and more enjoyable when we awaken our
visual senses. Art can be that stimilus that motivates us to pay
more attention to the rich visual environment in which we live,
work and play.
