Teaching Philosophy: My philosophy of education is base on education being a continuous process by which each individual is motivated to expand its own intellect. The goal must be to further uniqueness in each individual and admire the diversity that surrounds them. The individual must learn to be accountable and adaptable during the process of learning. This is achieved by promoting group discussion, critical thinking, positive environment, participation, responsibility and respect. A well prepared lesson allows the introduction of possible applications helping students appreciate the value of the subject.

I encourage students to work collaboratively inside and outside the classroom as I believe that students learn best when they are actively engaged in the course material and with each other. I also encourage students to ask questions and hope to create a learning environment where students feel comfortable asking for assistance whenever necessary.

I have a master’s degree in Applied Mathematics from Southern Methodist University, a bachelor’s of science degree in Pure Mathematics with a minor in Russian from Southern Methodist University, and a bachelor’s of science degree in Biology from Southern Methodist University.
Teaching Philosophy: My teaching philosophy revolves around the idea that education is the key to solving many world problems. As a teacher, I believe that it is my duty to challenge and support my students according to their strengths and weaknesses. A teacher first and foremost is also a student, thus a classroom should be an inviting place where both students and faculty can interact and develop solutions to many problems. By interacting with students, we as educators can enhance our teaching and create more productive citizens.

I believe a teacher is a positive part of a student’s growth and change. A teacher provides a link between the academic world and a person’s future. I see a teacher fulfilling many roles – teacher, guide, confidante, supporter, mentor, and/or friend. By providing guidelines, instruction, empathy, assistance, expectations, listening skills, and treating people fairly, I feel I can make a difference in a person’s life.
