Math SpotWhat is the Math Spot?

The Math Spot is an academic support service program that provides one-on-one assistance to students who are enrolled in a math course at EFC. All the services provided are at no extra expense to the students.  Some of the services provided are tutoring, review sessions, and supplemental instruction.

Math Spot Mission and Goals

Our mission is to create an open atmosphere conducing to learning, and provide services that will keep students engage in their learning of mathematics. Cooperative and collaborative learning is also provided at the Math Spot as students utilize the area to meet with study groups and peer-tutors. Our goal is to provide services that will assist students in achieving academic success.

Math SpotWho will be there to help me?

The program is sponsored by the EFC College Readiness and Mathematics Faculty Members as well as the Math Club Members. The Math Spot has a faculty coordinator, which is responsible for hiring qualified tutors, creating tutoring schedules, as well as gathering the data obtained from the tutoring sessions.

Where is the Math Spot located?

You can find the Math Spot on the third floor corner between the C and S buildings.
