Camilo LeosProfessor of Developmental Mathematics
Mr. Camilo Leos first came to Eastfield College in 1984 as an adjunct faculty member. In 1990, he accepted a fulltime position as a math instructor. Before coming to Eastfield, he taught secondary school math in Corpus Christi, San Antonio, and Dallas. In the Dallas Independent School District, he taught math at the following high schools: Spruce, North Dallas, and Woodrow Wilson. Mr. Leos was math department chairperson at Woodrow Wilson and was also sponsor of the Project Upward Bound Clubs. Before going to college, he served as a radio operator while in the US Air Force for 3 ½ years. After leaving the military service, he received his BA in mathematics and minor in science from The University of Texas at Austin. In 1973, he received his MLA from Southern Methodist University. He attended the National Science Foundation Academic Year Institute for math teachers at The University of Oklahoma.
