Auto Body Technology is designed to qualify students for positions in the repairing, rebuilding, and refinishing of vehicles damaged in collisions and other accidents. These specialized skills are offered through both a two year associate degree program and a one-year certificate program. Students will develop skills in the use of body shop tools, equipment, and materials, as well as, in frame alignment, body alignment, and glass replacement. Instruction is also offered in removing dents from fenders and body panels, welding torn metal, replacing badly damaged parts and body painting. The program also includes developmental knowledge in bookkeeping, estimating, and repair orders. Eastield College's modern auto body laboratory center is equipped with the finest automobile repair equipment.
