Génesis

(Por Marco Denev)

With the last atomic war, humanity and civilization disappeared.  The whole earth was like a burned desert.  In a certain region of the Orient survived a boy, son of the pilot of a spaceship (navae especial).  The child ate herbs and slept in a cave.  During much of the time, stunned by the horror of the disaster, alone he cried and called for his father.   Later, his memories grew dim, and becomes as a dream, his horror transformed into a vague fear.  At times he remembered the figure of his father, when he smiled or admonished or as he ascended the spaceship, engulfed in fire and noise, as he was lost in the clouds.   He became crazy from being alone; he falls to his knees and prayed for his return.  Meanwhile, the earth is covered newly with vegetation, the plants have grown flowers, and the trees have fruit.  The boy grew into a young man and commences to explore the country.  One day he saw a bird.  Another day se saw a wolf; another day unexpectedly he encountered another young person of his age who had also survived the horrors of the atomic war.

“What is your name?” He asked.  “Eve;” she answered; “and you?” “Adam.”
