The Computer Center is available to all
currently registered DCCCD Students
Checking In
- Access - Computer access is based on current enrollment/student registration in credit or non-credit classes within
the Dallas County Community College District. You must reserve a
computer at the front desk, or schedule an on-line reservation to use the computers.
- Proof of registration must be presented to gain access to the
reservation system.
- A valid ID is required to check out material on reserve via
instructor
- Use of multiple computers in not allowed
Software Available:
- Microsoft Office
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Electronics
- ESOL
- HVAC
- Math
- CADD
- Adobe CS4
- Assistive Technology
- and other curriculum based applications
Computer lab staff will assist students with the following:
- Questions concerning specific lab software
- Questions with minor lab hardware problems
- Solving problems with assignments
Each student must provide their own 3.5" HD diskette, or CDR/RW (USB Flash Drives recommended)
Class Tours & Orientations:
- August 28, thru September 11
- Students may be asked to move to another area within the lab during
scheduled tours & orientations
Computer Lab Policies:
- Absolutely No Food
- Only bottled water with screw-on tops allowed
- No Children
- Cell phone noise, offensive programs, language, loud talking ARE
NOT PERMITTED
Failure to comply with the Computer Center's established guidelines may result in exclusion from the Computer Center.
Small children left unattended in corridors will be reported to Campus Police
Printing
- The cost of black-and-white laser prints and photocopies are 10 cents per copy
- The cost of color laser prints and photocopies are 50 cents per copy
- Online accounts - which students can open electronically at "value
stations" which are connected to PCs in laser printer/photocopier areas
- are college-specific.
- to access pay-per-print services at multiple colleges, students must
establish an account at each college where they make laser prints or photocopies
