Files Are Saved to the Network "S" Drive Through the PCI Program

1) Open the PCI program to set up your series.

2) From the database menu, Select your job (a folder on the network drive, labeled with your name).

3) Select your session (click "new" and "ok" -- this session is automatically designated as today's date and time).

4) From the database menu, select your sample (a folder within "job"). Click "new" to designate a new sample folder; its name should include any important identifying information more general than the file names.

5) Name your series (this will assign automatic file names, numbered in the order they are transferred from PCSEM).

Return to PCSEM to transfer your captured images.

6) Save your files in PCI. Consider adding information to individual file names as you save them. Is every important piece of information saved somewhere among the designations of your "sample" folder, "series" of automatic file names, and/or individual file names?

7) You can access your files via the shortcut to "3400" folder on the "S" network drive.
Please remember to bring copies with you via flash drive (or web-based e-mail) at the end of your session.
