PROGRAM BENEFITS

  • Up to $6,000 in scholarship money - to help cover costs such as tuition, fees, books and supplies
  • Faculty advising, tutoring services, and assistance in completing degree plan or transfer to a four-year University
  • Special activities such as field trips, seminars, college and industry tours and undergraduate research opportunities

Are you eligible...
for a CSEM scholarship?
  • A U.S. citizen or national, permanent resident, or in the U.S. and can provide evidence of intent to become a permanent resident
  • High school graduates and current college students enrolled at Eastfield full-time taking at least 12 credits
  • Those with demonstrated financial need
  • Those in an eligible A.S. or A.A.S. degree program at Eastfield or intending to transfer to a four-year college in a CSEMS field of study
  • Demonstrated academic potential and at the time of application have a minimum 3.0 GPA for recent high school graduates, or a 2.5 for current college students
  • Those committed to complete their degree programs

for a STEP scholarship?
  • A U.S. citizen or national, permanent resident, or in the U.S. and can provide evidence of intent to become a permanent resident
  • High school graduates and current college students enrolled at Eastfield full-time taking at least 12 credits
  • Those currently working on a science related field at Eastfield College or intending to transfer to a four-year college in a science field of study
  • Those with demonstrated academic potential and at the time of application have a minimum 3.0 G.P.A.
  • Those committed to participate in science and research activities offered at Eastfield College during the term of the award

  1. Complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) either online or in the Financial Aid Resource Center.
  2. Complete the CSEMS application form (format is PDF) and submit to the NSF Case Manager - step 3 above.
  3. NSF Case Manager will notify candidates of the outcome of their application.
