Guest Lecture Series STEP homepage Guest Lectures   - Scheduled   - Archives   2007   2008   2009   2010 The National Science Foundation - STEP Guest Lecture Series event proved to be a huge success as Eastfield College students, faculty, and staff were treated to numerous interesting lectures from various specialists in the field of science. The purpose of these lectures were to heighten the level of enthusiasm of Eastfield students in science. This innovative learning experience began in fall of 2007. Since then, NSF-STEP has hosted about two lectures per month. Pizza, tea, and cookies also provided at each lecture presentation. As the word spread, for each succeeding presentation, the room was filled to capacity with students eager to learn more about science. These lecture presentations were funded by the NSF-STEP grant
