Eastfield College and the National Science Foundation Award Scholarships

In 2005, the National Science Foundation granted only four awards to community colleges. Eastfield College received over $1.8 Million!
 
 

PROGRAM BENEFITS

  • Up to $6,000 in scholarship money - to help cover costs such as tuition, fees, books and supplies
  • Faculty advising, tutoring services, and assistance in completing degree plan or transfer to a four-year University
  • Special activities such as field trips, seminars, college and industry tours and undergraduate research opportunities

Are you eligible?
Choose a degree plan...
for a STEP scholarship?
  • A U.S. citizen or national, permanent resident, or in the U.S. and can provide evidence of intent to become a permanent resident
  • High school graduates or current undergraduate students enrolled in a minimum number of credit hour classes at Eastfield (see chart below)
  • Those currently working on a science or S.T.E.M. related degree at Eastfield College or intending to transfer to a four-year college
  • Those with demonstrated academic potential and at the time of application have a minimum G.P.A. (see chart below)
  • Those committed to participating in science or S.T.E.M. related activities offered at Eastfield College during the term of the award
