Greetings!
It is my pleasure to welcome you to the division of Science, Physical Education and Athletics. Our faculty and staff are dedicated to providing you with the educational experiences you need regardless of your major.
In the sciences, you may choose from biology, chemistry, geology or physics. Science and engineering majors will find the classes they need to complete the first two years of a transfer program in these areas. We also have courses specifically designed for non-science majors who need to complete their science requirement for the core curriculum. In addition, we have classes for allied health and nursing students to meet program specific prerequisites. Be sure to check your degree plan to assure transferability.
The physical education faculty believes in a lifelong commitment to health. We invite you to select from a wide variety of activities courses which satisfy the core curriculum requirement for wellness. Our nutrition and health courses satisfy this requirement, as well. You can also learn sports officiating and cpr/first aid.
Our division also houses the college's athletics teams. We have men's basketball and baseball and women's volleyball and soccer. We invite you to try out for the teams or come root them on.
We are glad you have chosen Eastfield and wish you great success on your academic journey. Our office is located in S213. Please stop by.
Dream it, learn it, live it!
Sincerely,
Gretchen Riehl, PhD
