1.  What does SPAR stand for?

SPAR stands for Student Programs & Resources.  The SPAR Office is your student activities office.  We provide extra-curricular and co-curricular activities to enhance your academic experience at Eastfield College.  Check out the Upcoming Events Link on our home page for  a complete list of fun and educational opportunities we've planned for you this year.

2.  Where is the SPAR Office?

We are located in the C building, room C-141.  We're next door to the Health Center and across the hall from Campus Police.  Stop by and visit us Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Fridays 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

3.  How do I join a club?

Click on the Student Clubs and Organizations home page for information on how to join a club.  You're always welcome to stop by the SPAR Office and talk to the staff about specific club information.

4.  How do I find out about campus activities?

The SPAR Office will advertise our programs on the college web page-click on Student Life, then Student Activities.  In addition,  look for flyers on the bulletin boards around campus, posters are usually put on easels near high traffic areas such as the Library and the Computer Lab,  stop by the Pit occasionally and read the banners hanging from the railings.

5.  Who do I go to if I have a complaint or a suggestion about an issue on campus?

Each fall semester 12 Student Commissioners are appointed by the SPAR Director.  (Check out the Student Government web page.)  The Student Commissioners meet once a month to discuss issues that concern students.  They also serve as the voice to the students at College Advisory Council meetings held once a semester.  All students are encouraged to get involved in campus life.  You can contact your Student Commissioners via a mailbox in the SPAR Office.  There are also "Suggestion/Complaint Forms" available for you to complete.
