Eastfield College\DCCCD Scholarships

The DCCCD Foundation provides Eastfield with a limited amount of general scholarship money each academic year. The Financial Aid Office will award allocated funds for the fall and spring semesters in accordance with the following policy.

Students must complete and submit a Foundation Scholarship Application. Applications are available in, and should be returned to, the Financial Aid Office.

Incomplete applications will be voided.

To be eligible at Eastfield a student must:

  1. Minimum G.P.A. of 2.0
  2. Must be a U.S. Citizen or eligible Non-Citizen
  3. Enrollment in a minimum of 6 credit hours at Eastfield
  4. Meet the deadlines
    (Applications are accepted June 18-29 for the fall and October 15-26 for the spring semester.)
  5. Must not be suspended/blocked from financial aid
  6. Must have a declared major
  7. Must not be in default on any student loan
  8. Other standards that may be named by the scholarship donors (ex: major)

Priority will be given to scholarship applicants with semester financial aid awards equaling less than 50% of the state approved cost of attendance. Please do not call to check on the status of your scholarship application. You will be notified by mail that you have been awarded or denied.

Miscellaneous scholarships

Occasionally Eastfield has a limited number of miscellaneous scholarships as a result of gifts from individuals, private industry, and community organizations. Generally the eligibility criteria is the same as indicated for the DCCCD Foundation Scholarships, but specific majors, GPA requirements, levels of enrollment, etc may be stipulated by the donor. All applicants for the "Foundation" funds will be considered for available miscellaneous scholarships. A student will not be awarded from both miscellaneous and Foundation scholarship funds in the same award year.

Fall semester June 18th - June 29th
Spring semester October 15th - October 26th
