Employment

There are two different types of student employment as follows:
College Work-Study Program (FWSP)
This program provides part-time employment for students with financial need who are making satisfactory academic progress toward their educational goal.
Eligible students must satisfy Financial Aid Standards of Academic Progress, and maintain minimum enrollment of six credit hours. Pay rate is $7.70 per hour. Maximum amount of hours that a student can work is 18.5 hours per week.
The amount students can earn is dependent upon their financial need and other aid awarded. There is no placement for off-campus jobs.
College Work Study Process
- Student will need to add work study on the FAFSA application if they are interested.
- Fill out a request form with the financial aid office.
- The office will screen the application
Eastfield College G-Force Mentorship Program
G-Force Mentors are Eastfield College students trained to advise students, parents and the community about the process of applying for college and financial aid. Mentors work with Garland, Mesquite, and Dallas School District. Maximum amount of hours that each mentor can work is up to 20 hours pre week. The pay rate is $10.00 per hour.
