Eastfield College Student Ambassador Program

Mission Statement:

Eastfield College Student Ambassadors are men and women who serve the college, fellow students, and the campus community by demonstrating professionalism, dedication, and knowledge of campus programs, services and resources that contribute to mission and goals of Eastfield College.


The purpose of the Ambassador program is to provide a leadership opportunity for students to develop professional skills while serving Eastfield College in an honorary position that builds relationships with students and our community members.


  1. Must have completed at least 12 credit hours at Eastfield College
  2. Must be enrolled in at least 6 hours each fall and spring semester
  3. Maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
  4. Must be able to demonstrate leadership and involvement in campus life


  1. Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and good character at all times
  2. Attend Ambassador Orientation and Training Retreat as scheduled
  3. Attend various leadership workshops throughout the academic year
  4. Commit to serving for one full year
  5. Commit to participating in at least 5 activities per semester
  6. Serve as host/hostess for special events and guest speakers
  7. Assist with New Student Orientation
  8. Assist with Campus Tours
  9. Assist in recruitment activities
  10. Perform other tasks and duties as needed by the college president and the Office of Student Life

Selection Criteria and Process: 

  • Applications will be reviewed and scored by a committee of Eastfield College faculty and staff
  • Highest scoring applicants will be called to interview with the committee
  • Applicants will be scored on professional appearance, communication skills and effective speaking skills, enthusiasm for Eastfield College, and sincerity in representing Eastfield College as an ambassador.

Application Process:

  1. Complete an application available in the Office of Student Life
  2. Application (and required attachments and documentation) must be submitted by deadline.
  3. Candidates will be notified if selected for an interview.
  4. Final decision will be made by the Director of Student Life based upon recommendations from the committee.


  • Applications must be submitted no later than 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 18. Late or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
  • Interviews will be conducted  Monday Sept. 23-Wednesday, Sept. 25.   
  • Candidates will be notified on Thursday, Sept. 26.
  • All Student Ambassadors must attend the Orientation Session to be held Friday, Sept. 27, 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Room TBA.

In addition, workshops will be offered through E-LEAD (Student Leadership Academy).  Student Ambassadors will be encouraged to attend a variety of workshops related to their duties.
